DEMOCRATIC:
Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, you need to NOT campaign against each other. You need to team up right this instant. Tell the country that you have already set up the Clinton-Obama team. Hillary has more experience, she needs to be in the top spot. This would allow double the funds and campaigning possibilities for this team to win the Democratic nomination. Doing so right now, and making it obvious that this team will be the Democratic candidates for the election would let the Republicans go ahead and make their "Anti-Hilary" fundraising push now. (Put her name on a Republican mailer and the funds start rolling in.) But those funds would be depleted long before the election.
And as a side note, when I see the State of the Union Address with a female President, a female Speaker of the House over her left shoulder, and an African-American Vice-President over her right shoulder, I shall have my greatest orgasm ever.
REPUBLICAN:
This is the first year in a long time that neither the President nor Vice-President will be running for an election. Change that dynamic, right now. Cheney isn't doing any one any good anymore in a public position. Have him retire due to medical reasons. (Of course, he will still lurk behind the throne.) Then Bush can choose as VP one of the Republican front-runners for President. This will enhance his name recognition at the polls come November '08.
